About Stuart Adams

Stuart Adams serves as President of the Utah Senate. He graduated from Layton High and earned a Bachelor of Arts in business finance from the University of Utah. He is a fifth-generation Laytonite who grew up in Layton and continues to reside there with his wife, Susan. Together, they raised four children and are now the proud grandparents of 16 grandchildren. 

President Adams the owner of  Terra Strada Real Estate, Construction and Development Firm in Layton.

Before being elected to the Senate, President Adams served four and a half years in the Utah House of Representatives and nine years on the Layton City Council. He is the former Chairman of the Utah Transportation Commission and chairs the Military Installation Development Authority (MIDA).

While representing District 7, President Adams focused on policies that strengthened families and communities. He passed legislation protecting religious freedom, cutting taxes by $1.1 billion for working families, and investing in water infrastructure, transportation, and responsible energy production. He secured record funding for public education, expanded affordable housing, and championed mental health resources, including protections for children and teens from the harms of social media.

He is proud to represent the community where he grew up and raised his family. As Senate President, he is dedicated to serving all Utahns and working every day to strengthen the future of Utah.
