Stuart has made transportation and reducing commute times a priority during his legislative service. One example is the work he did to improve Highway 89 by providing families with a safer, faster commuting option, cutting a significant amount of the driving time.

Stuart has worked to ensure laws and oversight are in place to keep women’s sports a women-only space. He has been a strong advocate for preserving the integrity of women’s athletics and ensuring competition remains fair and safe.

As Senate President, he made it a priority to deliver meaningful savings and tax relief to Utah families by cutting taxes by over $1.4 billion. As prices have increased on groceries and everyday goods, it has been more important than ever to ensure families keep more of their hard-earned money because you know how to spend it better than the government ever could.

Housing affordability is one of the most significant challenges facing our state. Stuart worked to pass a law that provides up to $20,000 for first-time home buyers to use toward down payments, closing costs, or to buy down the mortgage rate. He pledges to continue working on practical solutions so our kids can afford to build their lives here in Utah.

Stuart worked to ensure parents have the resources available to give their kids the education that best suits them. He defended our “Utah Fits All” scholarship program and he will continue to pursue options that expand parents ability to choose the education that best fits their children.
